How to know if your EGGS have gone bad

Oh, my.  I need to use eggs in a recipe and am not sure if my eggs are still good.  Well, have no fear.  Simply fill a bowl with water.  If your eggs SINK to the bottom, they are still good.  If they float?  They are no longer fit to eat.
